Gypbond Pro
Bonding agent for gypsum plaster

Description
Gypbond Pro is a ready-to-use bonding agent for gypsum plaster on smooth concrete. Mivan and RCC are dense and smooth: they give plaster nothing to hold. Gypbond Pro gives them a rough, bonded key: grit for the key, polymer for the bond.
Roll on one coat. Plaster the next day. Made at Panvel, with German polymers and formulation.
Where to use
- Smooth concrete, before gypsum plaster: Mivan, RCC and precast.
- Walls, columns, beams and slab ceilings.
- Not needed on brick or AAC block: plaster keys to them directly.
Features
- Up to 3.3 MPa pull-off strength. Tested on site walls.
- The plaster breaks first. With gypsum plaster over the coat, the plaster broke before the bond in 5 of 6 cores.
- Up to 60 sq ft from one kilo. One coat.
- German polymers and formulation.
- Grit inside. The key for plaster.
- Ready to use. Stir. Roll one coat. No water.
- 24 hours. Then plaster.
- Green. You see which wall is coated.
- Shelf life 1 year. In the closed bucket.
Technical data

|---|---|---|---|
| Pull-off strength | up to 3.3 MPa | ASTM D7234. Tested on site walls. | NABL-accredited lab report |
| Coverage | up to 60 sq ft per kg | One coat. A rough or dusty wall can need more. | |
| Coats | 1 | By roller or brush | |
| Water to add | None | Ready to use. Do not dilute it. | |
| Drying time | 24 hours | Before you plaster | |
| Plaster within | 14 days of coating | Later: roll a fresh coat, then plaster | |
| Shelf life | 1 year | In the closed bucket | |
| Total solids | 58% | What stays on the wall | In-house lab test |
| Density | 1.39 g/cc | As packed | In-house lab test |
| Viscosity | 1,02,000 cps | In-house lab test | |
| pH | 9 | Mildly alkaline, as concrete is | In-house lab test |
| Colour | Green | ||
| Surfaces | Mivan, RCC and precast concrete | ||
| Packs | 1, 5, 10 and 20 kg buckets | ||
| Type | Water-based polymer liquid with grit | It dries in air | |
| Tools | Roller or brush | Stir first with a clean rod, until the grit is even | |
| Application temperature | Typical: 5 °C to 45 °C | Typical for water-based bonding agents of this kind (published data). Not a test of this product. | |
| Opened bucket | Close it after use | General practice: use an opened bucket soon | |
| Cleaning | Wash the roller and the brush with water immediately after use | General practice. The dry coat does not wash off. |
Pull-off strength: NABL-accredited lab reports, August and September 2025; ASTM D7234 for the coat alone, ASTM C1583 with plaster over it. Where the plaster broke first, the bond is at least the figure that the test shows. A line marked "typical" or "general practice" is common to products of this kind: it is not a test result of this product.
Coverage for each pack
| Bucket | Wall, one coat |
|---|---|
| 1 kg | up to 60 sq ft |
| 5 kg | up to 300 sq ft |
| 10 kg | up to 600 sq ft |
| 20 kg | up to 1,200 sq ft |
One kilo covers up to 60 sq ft. A rough or dusty wall can need more.
Application
- Clean. The concrete must have no oil, no dust and no release agent.
- Stir. Stir until the grit is even. Do not add water.
- Roll. One coat, by roller or brush.
- Wait. 24 hours to dry.
- Plaster. Within 14 days of coating. If more than 14 days pass, roll a fresh coat of Gypbond Pro. Then plaster.
Limits
- Not a waterproofing product.
- Not for a wall with seepage. Stop the leak first.
- Not needed on brick or AAC block.
- Do not dilute it.
Packaging
- Buckets of 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.
- The batch number and the packing date are on the label.
Storage and shelf life
- Keep the bucket closed, cool and dry, out of the sun.
- Do not let it freeze.
- Typical for water-based products of this kind: store between 5 °C and 35 °C.
- Shelf life: 1 year, in the closed original bucket.
Health and safety
